The All-New 2016 Chevy Volt is on its Way!
Since day one, the Chevy Volt has been a “winner” in many ways. In 2011, when the first model made its way to dealerships around the country, consumers were interested in learning more about what it could do for them.
Sure, they had one eye on the price, but for the most part they wanted to learn more about the technology, including just how much gas they could save.
With each passing year, however, plug-in hybrid vehicles have become more and more popular.
For this reason, the Chevy Volt now has more competition than ever before. And guess what?
This isn’t bad news for Chevrolet.
In fact, it is good news as it means more awareness for these super-cool vehicles.
Earlier this year, the 2016 Chevy Volt was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show.
While it has been a few months since the big reveal, the hype remains high. Adding to the excitement is the recent news that the newest Volt has begun to make its way off the lines at the company’s Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant.
In other words, it won’t be long before you can stop by a Chevrolet Albany NY dealer to take a peak at what the newest Volt brings to the party.
What about the Price?
Over the years, Chevy has successfully chopped the price of its Volt, which has gone a long way in increasing its popularity.
In 2011, the model was priced at $41,000. At the time, that was a fair price. However, it seems quite high when compared to the 2014 model year price of $34,995.
At this price point, the automaker was successful in gaining the attention of consumers who will only consider vehicles in the $40,000 and under price range.
GM has a big challenge ahead as it attempts to set a price for the 2016 Chevy Volt. Will it stay with a starting tag in the mid-$30’s? Will it cut the price below $30k in an attempt to attract even more buyers?
There may be a lot of pricing questions regarding the 2016 Chevy Volt, but one thing is for sure: the dollars and cents don’t change the fact that this is one of the top plug-in hybrids on the market.
Once the 2016 models hit showroom floors, buyers will flock to get a closer look.
