Chevy SUVs are powerful and capable vehicles filled to the brim with advanced safety and convenience features. If you are starting to look for a Chevy dealership in Clifton Park, NY, take a step further and visit us at DePaula Chevrolet in Albany. Our auto experts are well versed in everything that the 2020 Chevy SUVs offer in terms of safety, entertainment, and performance technology.

2020 Chevrolet Trax

As the smallest SUV in the Chevy lineup, the 2020 Trax is equipped with state-of-the-art technology like the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System. This system operates with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and everything is displayed on a 7-inch screen. It is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless audio integration. This means that you can listen to your favorite songs and playlists effortlessly.

The base LS model also features four USB ports for charging your mobile devices. It even comes with a 4G LTE Wifi hotspot to keep you connected to your apps everywhere you go. This means that if you are camping in the middle of nowhere, you can post pictures on social media and keep your friends and family updated on where you are.

The LT version adds satellite radio for more music options. You’ll have features like a 110-volt household-style powerpoint. If you want keyless ignition and entry, you can add the LT Convenience package. For upgraded safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, you can add the Driver Confidence package.

Opting for the Sun and Sound package will get you a premium 7-speaker Bose stereo system and a panoramic sunroof. Finally, the Premier model features advanced tech features like an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It also gets a lane-departure warning system and a forward collision warning system to help prevent accidents on the road.

2020 Chevrolet Equinox

Next up is the 2020 Chevy Equinox. Also available in four trims like the Trax, this vehicle offers a few other tech options in the form of safety features. Automatic emergency braking is standard as well as lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, Intellibeam headlamps, forward collision alert, a rearview camera, and a following distance indicator.

Optional safety features include adaptive cruise control with a camera, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert. On the higher trims, you can also opt for a high-definition surround view. This system gives you a virtual birds-eye-view of what’s around your vehicle. The upper levels can also come equipped with the safety alert seat. This sends vibrating pulses through the seat-bottom to alert you to any oncoming dangers that need to be addressed immediately.

Breaking it down by trim, the base L gets keyless open to easily enter the SUV, and you’ll get the aforementioned Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. Like with most Chevy vehicles, you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless audio integration with the base model. This also includes Teen Driver technology. This safety system will disengage the stereo until the teen driver fastens the seat belt. It will also provide parents with a report card to show what areas the driver is doing well in and which areas need more training.

The LT model adds the aforementioned Driver Confidence package, and the top-tier Premier model includes a hands-free power liftgate. This exterior tech feature is great for loading up the back of the vehicle while your hands are full. You no longer have to drop your bags to the ground to open the back.

2020 Chevrolet Blazer

The all-new 2020 Chevy Blazer is the newest addition to the Chevrolet lineup. The coolest tech feature about this model is the driving modes that you can choose from. Depending on the road conditions, you can adjust your vehicle’s performance by simply turning the dial. Blazers with AWD have the following driving modes: Tour, AWD, Sport Mode, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul. These selections will make driving over various road conditions much easier.

Also equipped with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System, there is a small difference with this feature. It is displayed on a larger 8-inch touchscreen. On the mid-level RS model, it also comes with navigation to get you to your destination as quickly as possible. The top-of-the-line Premier takes it a step further with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System. This adds voice-recognition to the navigation system and is displayed on an HD touchscreen. Bluetooth connectivity can manage 2 different devices as well.

2020 Chevrolet Traverse

Stepping into the full-size category of SUVs, the new Chevy Traverse has many of the features already mentioned. Since it can carry up to eight passengers comfortably, it is also equipped with the Rear Seat Reminder system. If the rear doors are opened or closed while the vehicle is running or within ten minutes of the vehicle starting, this system will activate. Once you have arrived at your destination, the Traverse will issue an audible chime to remind you to check the back seats. It will also display a notification on the Driver Information Center.

What’s more is that the Traverse is available in seven trim levels, making customization a key feature on this model. The cream of the crop model is known as the High Country. It comes with the SkyScape power tilt-sliding sunroof and a fixed rear skylight with sunscreen.

2020 Chevrolet Tahoe

If you thought things couldn’t get bigger, they can with the 2020 Chevy Tahoe. This massive whale can seat up to nine passengers and comes with several new tech features as well. Hidden inside a lockable storage compartment is an extra USB port. You will find seven of these throughout the entire cabin for everyone to keep their mobile devices charged. For the convenience of the driver, a wireless charging pad is also provided. You don’t have to fumble about with a charging cable anymore!

Another great addition to this expansive ride is the Head-Up Display. This unique tech feature showcases the most important vehicle stats and alerts on your windshield so that you don’t have to take your eyes off the road for even a second.

2020 Chevrolet Suburban

The largest of the Chevy SUV fleet is the massive Suburban. It has 14 charging stations located throughout the cabin. It seats nine people, but everyone knows that tablets count as mobile devices. In theory, you can charge all nine smartphones plus five tablets all at the same time. There is also a storage compartment that is large enough to hide your laptop computer. Also, the hands-free power liftgate is programmable and can be activated by simply swiping your foot under the sensor. This is quite handy for when your arms are full of groceries.

One optional tech feature that your kids will love is the rear-seat entertainment system that is compatible with Blu-ray and DVD. This will keep your children busy with their favorite shows and movies throughout longer drives. Available in three trims, the base includes the larger 8-inch touchscreen that we previously talked about.

Technology for 2020 Chevy Models

Chevy is a pioneer when it comes to included standard safety and technology features on their base model vehicles. Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system goes beyond what other manufacturers are providing, offering both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the base model. Other commendable features are Teen Driver, the Confidence and Convenience Packages, and the HD surround vision system.
