As the official sponsor of the One World Play Project, Chevy is determined to donate and distribute two million Chevy-exclusive One World Futbols, super tough soccer balls that never go flat. Their deadline is the end of 2018 and the goal is to create as many opportunities for children to play as possible.

When you visit any Chevy used car dealers Albany NY you know you’re purchasing from an automaker with a social conscious and the drive to make a difference.

Changing Lives is Child’s Play for Chevy

Chevy partnered with the One World Play Project three years ago and since that time more than 1.5 million One World Futbols have been distributed around the world. Approximately 45 million people across 94 different countries have benefitted from the collaborative efforts between Chevy and this nonprofit.

Embracing the value of play for the wellbeing of children and its potential to positively impact their lives, the One World Futbols are used in educational programs, which focus on life skills and conflict resolution in disenfranchised regions around the globe.

Part of that initiative involved Chevy not only donating the futbols, but also renovating and refreshing soccer fields in locations like Indonesia, Thailand, India, South Africa, and even closer to home, like those found in some Chicago neighborhoods.

Chevrolet’s Global Marketing Senior Manager, John Gasloli, explains: “Through our partnership with One World Play Project, we’ve been able to deliver play to millions of youth across the globe, and we’re very much looking forward to extending our partnership and continuing to provide more opportunities for play to children everywhere.”

Play is critical to a child’s development and has been proven to significantly impact their emotional, social, and physical well-being. This is especially true for those children who are growing up in difficult, and often dangerous environments.

Whether war, famine, poverty, crime, or natural environmental disasters are the backdrop, the Chevy-One World Play Project partnership enters these troubled locations in order to support the healthy development of children struggling to survive these difficult, often tragic, conditions.

Building off their past success, Chevy and the One World Play Project are already looking into the future, envisioning ways to extend their collaboration and positive influence.

Expressing his appreciation for Chevy’s charitable efforts, Tim Jahnigen, the founder of One World Play Project, said: “We are thrilled to continue growing our partnership and reach with this extended three-year commitment – highlighting our mission for helping our world’s youth realize their full potential with the power of play.”
